Are you guys going to leave spoilers out of this thread or keep them in? I dont mind them, myself. i wont be able to watch the show til much later tonight, but im dying to know about the suit. Finger on the trigger, I'm the barrel of a gun..I'm ready to blow.

ya that was pretty lame, it had moments, but this writing team just cannot put together a good episode to save its life. What a shame. They sure are good at dangling the carrot, even when the series is over. Would it have been too much to get one prolonged close up of tom in the superman suit? for crying out loud.

10 Years for that... Are you kidding me??? First hour was a complete waste of time... No real battle with Darkseid. After all that, you're telling me that he's going to defeat the darkness by just pushing a planet away. That's lazier than the Kryptonite island from Superman Returns. Then you just completely erase Lex's memories...smh. & probably more than anything else, you never get a really good shot of the suit. Had I not stopped watching this show consistently 5 years ago, I'd really be upset right now. I guess I know what not to put on my Christmas list this fall. The Smallville Box set. This episode was extravagantly mediocre, but still mediocre at best. Expected much more... Edited by Kal-El85 on 13/05/2011 22:30 |

It ended up being exactly like most of us had figured. Won't go into details(for the benefit of those who have not seen the episode) but there were good(and unexpected)parts and very disappointing parts. It was NOT exactly what the fans deserved after 10 seasons. However, it is the best we are gonna get until the New Movie comes out. |

Disappointing. For all the points mentioned already. After Tom's "terrified to wear the suit" quote, I expected him to actually...BE IN THE SUIT!!!! Especially when the one Jonathan was holding was subtly different than the one in the crystal case. (the S looked bigger, brighter, and less textured to me) |

I don't understand why some of you are complaining about this? You got what you always wanted, FLIGHT AND SUIT! But you guys STILL complain? How sad. Sure, small parts of the finale, like the short battle with Darkised, might be disappointing, but majority of the show is great. Like what Batman said in Superman: THe Animated Series, expect the the unexpected, especially with Smallville. |

When Smallville started, I hoped it would go for a 5 year run. When it went 5 years, I hoped for 7. When it went 7, I just hoped it wouldn't get canceled before it could end well. 10 seasons. Proper ending. To quote Lex and Otis, "What more could anyone ask?" |

IT'S SO F*CKING AWESOME. I SCREAM AFTER I SAW THE EPISODE WITH MY FAMILY, MOSTLY MY DAD, HIS GIRLFRIEND, AND MY BABY SISTER, OLIVIA, WHICH THE FIRST SHE WATCH SUPERMAN WITH ME. I LIKE THE LAST SCENE WHEN CLARK CAME ON THE ROOF WHILE THEY THE SUPERMAN THEME FROM THE FILM. TOM WELLING IS MY FAVORITE SUPERMAN TV ACTOR EVER. NOW I NEED TO FIND THE WAY TO HOW TO BUY THE COMPLETE SERIES ON DVD. SUPERMAN RULES!!!!!

I'm at odds on this one.. I love the show, I have watched every episode over these past 10 seasons. But yes, the ending could have been WAY better.. I think they tried to figure out the best way they could to end the show but I think it really got down to Tom Welling not wanting to wear the suit. He has admitted from the beginning he didn't want to wear the suit and they did the best they could to compromise the issue. I enjoyed the finale, but am disappointed to a point as I'm sure a lot of us are. |
