Hereeeeee!: http://www.superh...n-of-steel I'm very satisfied with the suit, but...not so much with the hairstyle. I can't see if there is an underwear or not. Overall, I'm glad the suit looks traditional, and they didn't stick the f***ing DC comics reboot, and the red is much brighter than before, and for the first time since "Lois & Clark," the blue is now dark-blue. But I hope there is a little curl, perhaps in this pic, it's just combed back, hopefully, theoretically speaking, when Superman gets tired of working a little bit, his curl will hang down on his forehead. The suit's fine. The hair has to go. I like the darker blue and the larger cape. I guess it's not clear yet what they did about the underwear. I hope it's gone. But yeah, the hair has to go. |

Makes me too excited, this happens just when I'm about to see Captain America tomorrow. There's still time to change the hair, and let's hope they do. Much better "first" pic compared to "Superman Returns's" first photo. I hope there's a yellow "S" on the cape as well. It does look pretty badass. I wonder if they're going the way Martin Campbell did with GL/Hal Jordon's hair in Green Lantern. Superman looks better with his hair from his right hanging down a bit, with a curl. Love that the "S" is big and 3 dimensional. I don't mind the design of the "S", it's at least new on Superman films. But the hair is still a problem, this guy has to look handsome compared to the other heroes out there, Green Lantern, Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Superman has to have the most devilish face ever. The hair needs to be combed down a little, that's all. i was not this excited when they first posted rouths suit and i LOVE rouths suit... this suit just to me is what i wanted a very retro feel..but modern at the same time... its like the new camaro and challengers they have taht old look but new..... the s is my favorite part.. if there are no trunks im not bothered and the blue red and yellow look amazing.... ive been going around to other message boards all morning to see what evryones saying.... this is getting a huge positive reaction... Routh never got this reaction it was always 50/50 from the get go... |

(there's a lot of obvious computer enhancing) No there isn't. It looks like a typical on set photo to me, albeit posed. If it were polished marketing material, it would be a lot better looking, more color, sharper, more contrast. It doesn't look like they did much to this. I'm waiting to see a clearer photo. This is a lot like the first picture of Bale as Batman, less like the one of Routh where it was all there. But even the first picture of Routh had bad levels, there was glare on the S, and his hair was at a bad angle. There would have been less initial backlash if they had released this picture first, and I'd like to see something like this for Man of Steel. Though considering how hard this picture was to find, we probably won't.  |

Great suit, the scales might be solar plates so superman stores the energy from the sun, its so great I feel like crying, now I want to see a picture of Lois and Clark.

They were going to release a picture of Henry in the suit anyway,it has to do with the timing of them filming Henry on set in the suit,and not wanting a leaked crap set photo as the first reveal, it's nothing to do with the Fishburne news.

Well to me things are turning out nicely. Not too crazy about the raised S either. But the design is really good, the cape tucking into the suit from Returns always annoyed me, much better this go around. It might be a long wait before the next official picture though. compare the pictures routh looks bored and cavill looks like he's ready to fight I'm not comparing the suits, the actors, or the pictures. I'm comparing the quality of the presentation of the costume. They put some effort or at least some thought into the subject of this photo, but it's not a very good photograph. They should stick to studio shots, but for some reason, they always release on set photos first, and there are only a few photographers who are really good at that. It's ironic that they put so much more effort into the rest of the marketing than they do into the first impression. |
