Superman outside the comics

After his successful debut in comics, it didnt take Superman long to
appear in films, radio, and television. Here are files with information
about those appearances, as well as information on collectibles and where to
find audio files:
Movies
Television
The American cable channel Cartoon Network is showing SuperFriends on Saturday at Noon to 1pm E.S.T, and weekdays at 5:30pm EST and 10:30pm EST.(submitted by Doug Smith).
The Superman/Batman Adventures is on USA Network at 6:30 AM
EST on Sundays.
Audio
- A list of Superman in Songs, including
Joel Finkle's text, and R.E.M.'s Superman song (text).
- Warner Bros.' DC Comics web site has 15 minute audio files of the
Adventures of Superman Radio shows. The radio sound files use RealAudio Ver. 1.0 and 2.0.
- You can order audio cassettes of 1945 Superman radio shows from the

Archive Web Site at the University of Memphis. Look under the S-Z
index. You can get an episode list for Superman and other Old Time Radio
at Louis Genco's Old Time
Radio WWW page. Jim Widner's Radio Days page has a Superman radio sound
file.
- Superman fan Steven Younis has put several .WAV
format sound files on his web page, including sound bites from the
Fleischer cartoons in the Other Bits & Pieces section.
- Jonah Weiland has a section on his web page devoted to .wav
sound files for superhero series that includes files for the Fleischer
cartoons, Superboy, Superman, and ABC's Lois & Clark, and WB
Network's Superman series.
- You can hear sound bite files for oodles of tv shows at Patrick G.
Kenny's TV Bytes: WWW TV Themes site, including for Adventures of
Superman (1951) (846 Kb) in the Action/Sci-Fi section, and
Lois & Clark (476 Kb) under Action/Adventure. You have to
register before downloading any of that site's files.
- The Rennes archive includes a Superman sound file (2095 Kb).
- MIDI File Center has two .mid files from the Superman movies.
