To attempt to summarize each of the twenty-two stories featured in this issue would not only be completely tedious, but also, it would not convey the point of having one-page stories. The goal of this issue was to have funny little incidents or interesting quick glimpses into the supporting cast of the Superman series, not to develop a story worth describing in great detail.

Therefore, I'll simply mention that this issue includes four fantastically clever and fun escapades with Mr. Mxyzptlk, mirroring Mxy's first appearance in the animated series where he keeps coming back to the third dimension only to be tricked into going back in no time by the Man of Steel. As well, the issue features insight into Supes' most sinister villains, Lex Luthor and Darkseid, and it includes some humorous short stories with Lois Lane (in which she is saved by Superman everyday of the week except Friday) and with Jimmy Olsen (where he's too busy thinking to notice that he's just doodled glasses on Superman's face).

Lobo, Supergirl, Toyman, Maggie Sawyer and even the Batman himself, all make guest appearances in this issue.

4Story - 4: The stories in this were great fun to read. The amount of variety and whimsical material in these one-page glimpses of the animated world of Superman were done wonderfully. While the issue doesn't stack up against some of the better, bigger stories that Millar has constructed in his run on the Superman Adventures, he leaves with a bang by pulling off his creative concept of one page stories.

4Art - 4: The art is vitally important to this issue and the variety and mixing of the artists throughout the story is done masterfully. For once, I'll have to take my hat off to the editor, who has done a wonderful job picking the right artists for the job and spreading them out instead of having one of the artists pencil three pages in a row. I was also impressed with the newcomers that put their talents in. While I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Templeton, Burchett, Amancio and Manley, the work done by Cooke, Stewart, Ku, etc., was all very good. Austin also gets kudos for inking so many various art styles and doing a fantastic job in not making all the pages look as if they were done by the same artist. The colors were also fantastic in this issue, all vibrant and intermixed wonderfully with the pencil and inking. All in all, some great stuff here. Unfortunately, the format didn't allow for any spectacular action sequences where I'm sure these artists could have really shown their stuff.

5Cover Art - 5: Gorgeous! Superman looks like the gladiator he's supposed to be and the layout of the cover really pulls the viewer in. Manley and Austin did a fantastic job here.
