Space Cabby is a time and space traveling version of a regular Manhattan cabbie. After driving a fare in his cover cab into our time, Cabby encounters a beam of heat vision from a nearby planet.

Mistaking it as a signal to hail his cab he lands planet side only to encounter Superman. Cabby is a fan of the JLU and has memorized all of their adventures.

Apprehensive to change history, Cabby wrestles with his conscience and decides to help the weakened Man of Steel.

The Psion, an evil alien race, are attacking them and under the planet's red sun, Superman is dying. As Cabby and Superman fly skyward they realize they aren't safe yet. A giant battleship awaits them.

Cabby explains his onboard shield won't hold off the Psion for long and that they ought to come up with a plan. Superman explains how a fake distress call led him to Starfire's homeworld. The Psion are a race of scientific aliens who want to kill a Kryptonian to study it. Flying into an asteroid field they land to repair a laser damaged cab. Superman instructs Cabby to remove the ships shield generator.

As the Psion arrive Superman uses the generator to boost his weakened invulnerability and the two heroes fly into deep space.

The aliens decide to recapture Superman to continue their experiment and the JLU suddenly appear to stop them.

Cabby is suddenly back in his own time after hanging out with his idols.

After such an exciting day not even a moody boss can annoy him now!

3Story - 3: Plot holes plot holes EVERYWHERE but it was a Superman story so it's nice he gets centre stage for once even though he was pathetic (even under a Red Sun Supes has his brain to use even if he doesn't have his powers). I am not going to go into the story failures i.e. the JLU arriving out of nowhere and the Psion (named after the pocket PC company?) oh and the red sun killing Kal-El. Hey DC: Cabby is spelt CABBIE. I did like Space Cabby - he seemed like a fun character so I hope he is around again soon though. I liked the fact he considered ramifications of his meddling in history, it was good that elements were there, just a shame they weren't executed as well as they could have been.

3Art - 3: The interior art was hit and miss this issue. The Psion looked very much like Beast Boy clones so I kept expecting the other Titans to arrive! Some panels were spot on and cool and others were vague and almost sketchy.

4Cover Art - 4: Despite the spelling error on the cover I really liked this nicely composed and colored reminiscent of an issue of Superman Adventures that Bibbo appeared in.
