Chapter One:

Summer holidays!

Sort of, outside it is ice cold and snow has filled the streets! Not the best start after school's out...

The Super Friends are right on in and trying to solve the mystery. Superman scouting the city overhears bickering far below in the abandoned Ben and Terry's ice cream factory. Inside a roster of evil villains with a love of all things cold and icy are arguing over who should be the leader of their new group The Ice Pack. Killer Frost laughs that they can argue who'll be king but she'll be the queen of the pack. The Blue Snowman growls and reveals that he's really a she underneath and only she deserves the term queen... before gender confusion debates can ensue the Super Friends smash in and are ready for a fight!

Using all their ice powers the villians freeze the friends solid! While incapacited the Super Friends overhear Mister Freeze propose a contest to commit the coldest crime for the title of greatest ice criminal. By the time the heroes escape however, The Ice Pack have scampered!

Chapter Two:

The Icicle begins first, trying to steal the Livingstone Cup from a championship ice hockey match. Wonder Woman and The Flash foil his plan and with four more villains to go things are starting to heat up!

Batman and Green Lantern track Captain Cold to a concert venue where Icy U a popular rapper is performing.

Things take a funny twist when Killer Frost AND The Blue Snowman decide to commit the same robbery in the same jewellery store! Diamonds are also nicknamed ice so it was naturally a target! But when Aquaman and Superman arrive - the venomous duo have accomplished nothing but freezing themselves solid! Giftwrapped for a bewildered Clark and Arthur!

Activity: Aquaman/King Orin Paper Doll

Chapter Three:

The mission is almost over and the team find Mister Freeze... strolling around the city?! Batman confronts his old enemy and is shocked to discover Victor had sent two other Ice Packers on a wild goose chase. The real plan was Victor's dream. A dream to be able to walk around without his refrigeration suit like a normal man or woman.

Wonder Woman is shocked, how dare he steal summer just so he could live just one day like he did before his accident. Batman and the others swear to end his hopes and dreams but Victor is ready for retaliation. A city full of ice can easily be turned into a city of weapons at his disposal and Mister Freeze begins to use them to protect himself.

Batman smiles that Arthur, Diana and himself were distracting him while Superman, Green Lantern and Flash were busy crushing his dream by melting all the ice and returning the long hot summer to normal.

Aquaman saves Victor from a flashflood of ice water as it is flushed away and Superman with blistering speed traps Victor inside his refrigeration suit and promptly locks him in prison.

The rest of the Ice Pack are shocked they were all defeated until the Super Friends pointed out, that they let their pride defeat them. They were so competitive to prove they were more powerful than one another that they lost sight of their goals.

Arthur lectures them that the heroes never ever fight like that, they aren't bothered about who has what power, who's fastest, strongest and most powerful, they're happy to work as a team...

The End.

1Story - 1: Dream smashing? Morale crushing? Super villain operations straining? Thought the Super Friends were meant to be heroes...

4Art - 4: The artwork this issue seems better paced, and is very solid with some engaging composition that keeps the reader entertained throughout.

4Cover Art - 4: Makes the interior appealing! Very cool! (pardon the pun!).
