As Red Lantern rings search the cosmos for new beings to use their power fueled by rage, Kara Zor-El is pummeling Lobo. Doctor Veritas is forced to teleport them out of the Block while Blaze, unknown to the Block's staff, roams loose. The battle between Lobo and Supergirl takes them from Antarctica to New York with the Last Czarnian revealing nuggets of Doctor Veritas' file on the Maid of Might. Siobhan Smythe, in the meantime, catches a glimpse of the conflict. The girl who became Silver Banshee may be surprised by what she finds.

Lobo is trying to make Kara his new ally in intergalactic bounty hunting. Seeing this as yet another person trying to decide what is best for her, Supergirl becomes even more enraged. Lobo gets more of a beating as Siobhan makes her way to the Girl of Steel's location. Now, with Lobo possibly dead, and an angered Kara Zor-El feeling like she belongs nowhere, Ms. Smythe gets the shock of her life as a crimson power ring makes Kara become the Red Daughter of Krypton. Even the Red Lanterns may tremble before her might.

5Story - 5: Again, we have the continuation of the slugfest between Lobo and Supergirl. Yet, there lots of interesting plot threads within the book. This makes it a surprising treat. I particularly cannot wait to see how the Red Lantern Kara story will change Superman, the Green Lanterns and the entire DC Universe. Thank you, Tony Bedard for giving me faith in good storytelling.

5Art - 5: Yildiray Cinar's art compliments the story in a way I never thought possible. I sincerely cannot imagine anyone else drawing this title under Bedard's run.

5Cover Art - 5: While the cover does give a bit too much away, it's still a perfect addition to what has been a perfect book for the past three issues.
