Xanadoth, the first Lord of Chaos who is feared so greatly her history has been erased from various tomes, has taken over Black Adam. Xanadoth's hubris and lack of control led to her imprisonment in the Spike of Xanadoth. Now the Lord of Chaos Black Adam has made short work of the Justice League Dark. To make matters worse, Madame Xanadu is missing after the main League's arrival. They'll need every powerful hero at their disposal if they can defeat Xanadoth.

The Justice League has confronted Nabu after he left this plane of existence and the Helmet of Fate. He has taken Naomi into a white void. Meanwhile, Xanadoth Adam has taken Madame Xanadu to see the future. Is Naomi connected somehow? Is it the same future Prince saw in the opening track of the Batman soundtrack?

4Story - 4: I wish we had a couple of issues focusing on Naomi and Black Adam adapting to life in the Justice League before we got this story. This could have allowed readers to ease into this serial, or at least part of me feels that way. Another part feels maybe that story could work better as an epilogue. Other than that and my issues with part one, this story has been a very good one. The only real major flaw is something that Bendis' overall Justice League suffers from compared to his Superman or his Marvel work. Some issues feel rushed in order to meet deadlines. Bendis is one of my favorite writers in recent years, and this chapter is enjoyable in spite of the minor nitpicks I have.

3Art - 3: Again, the artists' individual talents merit a five, but putting styles that vary too much in one issue clashes greatly, and thus, the readers eyes lose the joy of only a single person working on it.

5Cover Art - 5: The cover blurbs are perfect for the dramatic effect of this cover. It gives buyers an idea that the deck is stacked against the Justice League.

5Variant Cover Art - 5: Yet another magnificent variant from Ariel Olivetti. His work should grace a Superman special edition.
