    Scott Snyder, Lowell Francis, Gene Ha
    Lieutenant Sinclair is selected by the government to be Subject Zero, a test subject to be experimented on and made into a super soldier. After months of tests he gains more and more powers. However he also finds he's becoming more and more alone, as the scientists and generals around him begin to fear him. He's finally deployed on a mission, but his anger gets the better of him, and he not only takes out the enemy, but his support team too. As the military leaders in charge of him decide what is to be done, a devastating meteor shower destroys much of Metropolis... and within that meteor shower lands a small spacecraft with a baby inside.

    Scott Snyder, Lowell Francis, Gene Ha
    As experiments are done on the young Kal-El, General Lane argues with the cold, helmet-wearing scientist for the young boy's treatment. It seems Lane looks on Kal as a son. Lieutenant Sinclair (aka Subject Zero) reaches out to Kal from his own cell and over the years has been urging the boy to work against the Project's goals. Lane lets Kal play with Krypto, but when Lionel and a young Lex Luthor come to visit, Subject Zero somehow forces Krypto into attack mode, and Lex is killed. When a young Lois comes to visit her father on the base, Kal and Subject Zero escape their cells, but when Zero plans to kill Lois to pay back her father, Kal steps in to protect her. Sam Lane arrives and send himself and Zero into the Phantom Zone. General Adam is now in control, confines Kal to a cell and tells him he will cooperate with their experiments. Clark uses his heat vision to draw a small sketch of Lois.

    Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning, Eddie Nunez, Don Ho
    As the Amazons and Antlantians begin their war, Lois Lane is in Paris with Jimmy Olsen covering a fashion show for the Daily Planet. Lois isn't impressed with her assignment and calls Perry White to complain. As she speaks the Atlantians attack, flooding Paris with a massive tidal wave. Lois barely makes it to the top of a tall tower, but Jimmy isn't so lucky. Amazons rescue Lois and the other women and children via an invisible jet, and take them to a camp where the women are trained to join their forces. Lois discovers Jimmy's camera was a communication device with Cyborg, who tells her she needs to find out as much information as she can and report back to him. After months of training and spying, Lois attempts to escape... and gets help from a woman called Penny Black, but they're stopped by Artemis.

    Barry Allen awakens to find his world changed. He's no longer the Flash, nobody has heard of Superman or the Justice League. His mother is alive. And someone called Citizen Cold is the local hero. Cyborg tries to convince Batman to join the resistance in an effort to end the war currently raging in Europe between the Amazons and Atlantians.

    Barry Allen finds Batman in the Batcave, but it's not Bruce Wayne... it's his father Thomas. Bruce died in that alley with his mother. Barry tries to convince Thomas that the world has changed because the Reverse Flash went back in time and altered reality. If Barry doesn't recreate the accident that give him his powers this new reality will become permanent. In London Steve Trevor is captured and killed by Wonder Woman while look for Lois Lane. Barry Allen recreates the incident in an attempt to get back his powers... but it fails, burning him badly.

    Having failed to recruit Batman to the cause, the President tells Cyborg to stand down. With burns to most of his body, Barry tells Batman he wants to try the experiment again. This time it works and Barry is once again the Flash. In New Themyscira (formerly London), Lois Lane is discovered by the Resistance. Cyborg meets Batman and the Flash, and Batman tells him he'll join his resistance, but only if Vic helps them break into a government facility known as Project Superman. Once inside, the free a pale, skinny man... it's Superman. He's never seen the son, having been locked away all his life. They help him escape, and once outside the amazed young man is able to use heat vision and fly... but rather than help those who have just helped him escape, he flies away, leaving Cyborg, Batman and Flash with government guns pointed at them.

    Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning, Gianluca Gugliotta
    The Amazon Furies attack Grifter and his Resistance team, but the group manage to defeat and even kill the Amazons Furies and escape to make their planned meeting with Penny Black. Instead of Penny, they find Lois Lane, who convinces them she's part of Cyborg's resistance team. Grifter recalls how he met Penny Black, and how they were drawn to each other via her link with her special armor. They locate Penny, and Lois' equipment helps her locate the whereabouts of the experimental Britannia suit she's looking for. The team head into London to find it, but they're double-crossed by Hyde (aka Bobbie Stephenson) who did a deal with the Amazons to fix her in exchange for Lois, Penny, Grifter and his team.

    In Fawcett City the children who make up the Marvel family discuss the ongoing war. In Coast City Hal Jordan gets into his fighter jet. In Metropolis Flash, Batman and Steel are under attack by the security force at Project Superman when Element Woman lends them a hand. Flash has another spasm that threatends to remove some of what he remembers about what reality is supposed to be. They head to Fawcett City and ask the Marvel kids for their help. Billy Batson tries to help Flash recovery his memories. On TV Hal Jordan is reported dead. They all agree to help, as do the other heroes who were waiting for Batman to join the cause. As Aquaman and Wonder Woman confront each other in battle, the word SHAZAM booms out and Captain Marvel tackles Wonder Woman as the Flash confronts Aquaman in an attempt to shut down his bio-weapon... but they're double-crossed by Enchantress who cries SHAZAM and reverts Captain Marvel back to the six kids who make up his form... and Wonder Woman kills Bill Batson. Reverse Flash appears before Barry Allen.

    Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning, Christian Duce, Walden Wong
    Penny Black recalls how she became Britannia. With Lois held at knife point, Bobbie turns into Hide and takes out the Amazons. Grifter and his team get the upper hand while Lois and Penny search for the Britannia suit. Penny is shot, and Lois looks done for, but Penny arrives just in time in the Britannia suit. Wonder Woman arrives and takes on Britannia, who purposely takes their battle to a prison ship to show Wonder Woman how normal women and children are being forces into Amazonian service. Unaware of this fact, Wonder Woman sets the prisoners free. Lois sends a message to the United Nations about the atrocities as Britannia and Grifter take the fight directly to the Amazons.

    Clark flies to London and locates Lois amongst the ongoing war. Subject Zero locates them and attacks. Their battle ends when Subject Zero explodes, killing Lois...

  • Flashpoint: #5 [of 5] (Late October)

    The Reverse Flash reveals to Barry Allen that Barry himself is the cause for this alternate reality when he tried to go back in time to save his mother from dying. Without the Flash in existence the Reverse Flash would exist, so he needs Barry to change things back to the way they were. Batman kills Thawne as the battle between the Amazons and Atlanteans rages on. Grifter and his team arrive on the scene but they're double-crossed by the Enchantress who is working with Wonder Woman. However Superman arrives and takes her out while also knocking out Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Barry runs, runs through time and stops himself from saving his mother... history is changed, but it's not exactly as it once was...
