"Lost Boys"

We open where last issue ended, as the Space Cabbie rescues the boys from The Gang. Rex Luthor monologues about his plan to take over Earth, using the Hypercube. Meanwhile in space, Space Cabbie's taxi/ship starts to have issues with his "hyperspace drive", and they all end up on an unknown planet. Damien takes both Superboy Red and Blue to get help, as they both are unwell, from the events of the previous issue. They end up at a house on a hill. Joker Jnr double crosses everyone, as he knocks out Space Cabbie, and steals his taxi/ship and leaves the planet, so he can better hide from Rex and The Gang. Damien and the two Jon's get pulled into the mysterious house. As Damien gets his bearings together, he finds Jon, now once again whole, as Superboy. They are both attacked, and as they make their escape, they come across a pair of old, overweight versions of themselves in the house.

The boys are thrown into jail on the prison planet Takron-Galtos. Jon is separated from Damien and put into solitary confinement, so that his powers may fade. Damien spends much time searching for him, and comes across Rex Luthor, who is attempting to assemble a new "Gang". After a face off with the Gang, Jon comes to Damien's aid, having found a way to recharge.

The boys continue to search for a way off of the prison planet with the help of Joker Jnr. Damien captures a couple of Rex's cronies, with the help of a young Green Lantern Cadet that he rescued last issue. Rex manages to grow his army, and tries one last time to destroy the Super Sons, but when he fails, he washes his hands of them, so that he can concentrate on taking over the galaxy. "Gather the rest of the... Injustice Army... The Super Sons are someone else's problem now" - Rex Luthor.

The boys help Hex on a few missions, with the help of their Green Lantern Cadet friend. As they find a way off the planet to save Earth from Rex Luthor and his Injustice Army, the Green Lantern helps to reprogram Hex, and they all head off planet together. Next Stop the Injustice Army.

We open with an elderly gentleman reading a story to a couple of young children, the last great adventure of the Super Sons. We then cut to our main story, as we see Rex running his own monologue, regarding his evil plan. Rex is interrupted by the boys as they come in to relieve Rex of the hypercube, and stop him once and for all. With Rex and his army gaining the upper hand, the boys witness Rex kill Jonah, but when all seems lost, the cavalry arrives. In the form of Tommy Tomorrow, Kid Joker and the elder Robin and Superboy from the dream machine.

"Gang War" - Part Two

We catch the boys standing firm against Rex Luthor's Injustice Gang, with a few allies of their own. As the battle ensues, the good guys gain the advantage in the fight, and it's not long, until an almost defeated Rex makes his final play. He flies up to the stargate above, with the boys hot on his heels. They thank their allies, and head through the stargate also, completely ignoring the collective "Noooooo" from their friends down below. We end with the boys trapped in a Phantom Zone like cube, in Rex's hands, as he gloats over his victory, and as they head into the end game of his plans.

"Gang War" - Conclusion

We Open with Rex declaring himself king, as he has finally defeated the Super Sons, by banishing them into the cube. The boys figure out a way out of the cube, with the help of the cube itself, which has gained sentience and a form. Cube, as he is now called, tells the boys of his existence, and how he came to be, and how he was the one that created Rex Luthor and the rest of the Gang/Injustice Army, by studying the villains of Earth, from the Fortress of Solitude, right before he was liberated by Rex himself. Cube helps the boys escape their prison, and they take down Rex and the Gang. The boys finally get to return home to Earth, just in time for the first day of school, with Alfred making an appearance, and assuring that he knew the boys would have been fine the whole time they were away.
