January 17, 2002: "Smallville" Nominated in ASC TV Competition

The Pilot Episode of "Smallville" has been nominated in the 16th Annual American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Outstanding Achievement Awards.

Nominated in the movie-of-the-week/miniseries or pilot category for programs that aired on broadcast network television, the WB's Peter Wunstorf (Smallville) is up against Ernest Holzman, ASC for the CITIZEN BAINES pilot (CBS); Denis Lenoir, ASC, AFC for UPRISING (NBC); Peter Levy, ASC, ACS for the 24 pilot (FOX); and Rene Ohashi, CSC for DON GIOVANNI UNMASKED (PBS).

Winners will be revealed during the ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards dinner on February 17 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
