March 21, 2002: “Smallville” in Latin America - Update

Superman fans in Brazil and South America rejoice! "Smallville" is headed your way in April. Here's the official word (translated into English) from the Warner Bros. TV affiliate in South America...

"Before the legend, before the icon, there was a young man called Clark Kent. Some day, he'll dominate his powers and understand his true destiny. For now, he only has to survive adolesence. In this new interpretation of the Superman mythology and its classic characters.

Warner Channel is proud to offer its entire audience, the new series Smallville, a modern and distinct interpretation of the legendary history of Superman; created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. A new version full of adventure and realism which will reach our audiences starting April 9th, 2002.

Clark doesn't wear glasses, has no special suit and can't fly. Between the boy he thought he was and the man he'll become lays the story of Smallville, only on Warner Channel, better than ever."

"Smallville" will continue on Tuesday nights in the time slot which is currently occupied by the show "Thieves".
