February 15, 2015: DC Statues and Action Figures at NY's Toy Fair
USA Today reports from New York ahead of this weekend's Toy Fair, which will take place Saturday through Tuesday at New York City's Javits Center, unveiling some of the action figures, figurines and statues set to be released by DC Collectibles in 2015.
- "Our new 'Icons' action figure line will be a new core universe of heroes and villains led creatively by the great Ivan Reis," says DC chief creative officer and Justice League writer Geoff Johns.
"Being part of this project is a great honor," adds Reis, whose designs were used to craft the figures. "Knowing the 'Icons' action figures will be based on my art adds a new level of inspiration to my work. I was also thrilled to learn this series will feature many classic versions of the characters that were part of my childhood."
Superman, the pre-"New 52" version with interchangeable hands and head, chain and robot helper Kelex. Lex Luthor, the Justice League member with clip-on energy blades:

The three waves include:
Wave 1: Deadman, Green Arrow, Batman, Mister Miracle
Wave 2: The Flash, Black Adam, Blue Beetle, Lex Luthor, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) Deluxe Figure
Wave 3: Superman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Atomica
Other figures and statues set to be unveiled at New York's Toy Fair include DC Comics Bombshells Lois Lane Statue and NECA's 18-inch Christopher Reeve as Superman Quarter Scale figure (set for release in May).

SCHLEICH DC Comics Super Heroes Figurines - Coming Q1 2015, fans of all ages can get their hands on Schleich's all new line of collectible figurines based on DC Comics characters. DC Collectibles will also release Krypto and Streaky DC Super Pets Plush toys.

There will also be additions to the DC Comics Super Hero Bust Line and Superman: Man of Steel statue line, with statues by John Romita Jr., Cully Hamner, and Darwyn Cooke.

Earlier this month Kotobukiya announced their upcoming line of DC Comics Super Powers Collection action figures. From NY Toy Fair Gentle Giant also made an announcement for their own line of 12 inch DC Super Powers action figures:
- Gentle Giant is proud to announce the launch of this stunning line of retro figures that have been given the Jumbo Figure treatment. Each figure is developed using state of the art 3D technology. Gentle Giant has taken the original DC Super Powers figures and created a highly accurate digital model with the use of 3D scanners. These digital models are then scaled to 12 inches tall, and then printed using top of the line 3D Systems printers. These pieces are then used in manufacturing to produce extremely accurate, scaled replicas.
The DC Super Powers Collection Jumbo Figures from Gentle Giant will be made from high quality vinyl, and some ABS plastic parts. Many of the figures will also include fabric capes and accessories. Finally, these incredible figures will feature retro art packaging, and come in a protective re-sealable blister pack.
