December 12, 2021: Grant Morrison Saved Superman from Dan DiDio
In a new interview with Irish YouTuber Daniel Fee, writer Grant Morrison reveals that they stepped in to save Superman from Dan DiDio wanting to turn him into a "super right-wing authoritarian".Morrison reveals that DiDio had an idea for his "G5" concept in which an 80 year old Man of Steel would form his own team of The Authority and take over. "Superman is not a right-wing authoritarian! That's not how you do it...please don't make him a right-wing tyrant guy, that's just not Superman."
To ensure DiDio's plans didn't come to fruition, Morrison agreed to write "Superman and The Authority"... but on Morrison's own terms.
