February 26, 2001: Smallville has its Location
According to Coming Attractions, the pilot episode of the upcoming WB series "Smallville" will be filmed in British Columbia. Recent, unconfirmed rumors have indicated that scouting agents been showing an interest in the small town of Merritt. Reports are also circulating that additional casting is going to be done by Heike Brandstatter and Coreen Mayrs, Emmy Award winner for her casting work on Freaks & Geeks.
