In Metropolis, the Daily Planet staff and the House of Kent are taking a breather while preparing for the next chapter of their lives. Conner Kent has learned he may lose his abilities with time, but he is a new discovery since the multiverse rebooted, and that could possibly change. In the meantime, Clark's parents take him in. Jon Kent helps Clark help those in need after the recent Invisible Mafia conflict. Jon recounts his experiences with the Legion of Super-Heroes and his relationship with Saturn Girl. Upon his return to the 31st Century Lois and Clark go to the Daily Planet staff meeting for their next assignments.
Story - 5: I had hoped to see more of the Daily Planet. Yet, this is a fitting end to Bendis' run on this title. He says goodbye to Superman, Lois and all the gang while opening the doors for his successor in a brilliant character piece. I personally would have liked to have read more Bendis stories featuring the Man of Steel, but I'll give whoever takes over this book the benefit of the doubt. Thank you, Brian Michael Bendis, it was fun reading every page of Action Comics and Superman. You've given the next writer some pretty big Super Boots to fill.
Art - 2: I wanted to like the art in this one, but it looks rushed and sloppy.Cover Art - 2: This one feels like a devolution of Romita's style, going back to being too rough and blocky.
Variant Cover Art - 4: The cape is too long. It'd would work for Batman, but not Superman. It is well drawn in spite of that.Mild Mannered Reviews
