Who's Who in the Superman Comics
Bibbowski, Bibbo
"Bibbo" Bibbowski is a friend of Superman, and owner of the Ace O' Clubs tavern. Bibbo was able to buy the tavern after finding a winning lottery ticket. Before becoming rich, Bibbo was a barroom brawler inhabiting Metropolis' waterfront area. Bibbowski met up with Mick Cardoni who once was Bibbo's boxing manager before Bibbo gained a drinking problem, and ended up winning a boxing title bout. He relinquished the title, however, after punching Jimmy Olsen on live TV, feeling that the guy with the title should set a good example (MOS #71). Bibbo has a great heart, and is always ready to help someone who is down on their luck.

Introduction
