Mainframe
A criminally-minded cybersect of super-humanoids, The Mainframe is yet another clandestine organization bent on world conquest. The mastermind of Mainframe is Override, whose body is that of mammoth cybernetic proportions. He is apparently a quantum physicist, and his overriding agenda is to transform humanity into a new form of cyberlife.
Baud is the most flamboyant and outspoken member of the group. She possesses super-electromagnetic abilities, and was the first member to challenge Superman, as a test run of sorts for Override. At his request, she also joined The Superman Revenge Squad, albeit briefly.
The other known members of Mainframe include:
- Download, who can teleport herself and anyone around her, from one place to another.
- Output is a living calculator and codebreaker. He is distinguished by his cybernetic face, which exists as a cartoonish display of his formerly human face.
- Scareware is the strongman of the team.
The Mainframe also employs "pet bugs", that are reddish in color, and look like insectoid aliens. As a group, Mainframe provided somewhat of an imposing challenge to Superman, especially when he was in his energy form. Quite naturally, as five on one, they may still pose a challenge to the Man of Steel.
It is somewhat ironic that the team has not made a dramatic appearance in Metropolis, since the city was "upgraded" by the Brainiac 13 technology. However, like so many cybergeeks, Override and his group may be late adaptors of the enhanced technology in Metropolis... testing its limits and formidability, so that they can use it to their sinister ends when they next strike the city!

Introduction
This is a listing of many of the notable characters and a few places that have appeared in the
Superman comics from the 1986 revamp up until around 2008.

Although Superman often appears in other DC Comics, this text's information is limited mainly to what has occurred in the regular Superman comics.
